Herbed Brown Rice Straws

My pantry is always filled with some many leftover flours since a long, eventhough am trying to finish them to make out many dishes there were some leftovers, one among those leftover flour is organic brown rice flour, so i tried out this herbed straws with those leftover brown rice flour with some herbs like coriander leaves, curry leaves, parsley leaves along with cumin seeds and pepper powder..My teddies enjoyed having this straws with cream cheese, a simple and crispy snacks to enjoy which suits prefectly for this cold evening..Sending this herbed straws to Global Kadai-Crackers&Straws guest hosted by Ria..U can use the usual rice flour instead of organic brown rice flour if u dont get them..Sending to Kid's Delight-Holiday Special hosted by Srivalli..

Herbed Brown Rice Straws

1cup Brown rice flour or rice flour
1cup All purpose flour
2tsp Herbs (chopped coriander leaves, curryleaves & parsley leaves)
1/2tsp Pepper powder
1tsp Cumin seeds
1tbsp Butter (melted)
1tsp Olive oil
Salt

Grind the chopped coriander leaves, curry leaves and parsley leaves as coarse paste, take now the rice flour, all purpose flour,grounded herbs, pepper powder, cumin seeds, melted butter,olive oil , salt in a bowl..gradually add enough water to make a soft and smooth dough..keep aside for half an hour..

Preheat the oven to 350F..Dust the dough with enough flour and roll as round disc..cut the dough as strips, just twist the strips and arrange them over the baking sheet lined over a baking sheet..Bake for 15-20minutes until the crust turns golden brown.. Enjoy with cream cheese or any sort of chutneys..

Look at the herbs! That must have smelt as good as it tasted. I looked at the title and hoped for a gluten free recipe. Do you think only rice flour will yield a good straw too?
